                                  WHAT IS EFT?


EFT is an energy psychology therapy which was developed by Gary Craig in the early 1990s.  Since then it
has been used successfully on thousands and thousands of people suffering from a huge variety of complaints both physical and emotional.  Gary Craig has a catchphrase - "Try it on Everything".  "EFT is based on new discoveries regarding the connection between your body's subtle energies, your emotions and your health"   Over 1.3 million people have discovered the benefits of EFT to date.

The founding statement of EFT is that "the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."   Eastern medicine has been aware of and working with this energy system for thousands of years.  

 With  EFT, instead of using needles to stimulate points along the energy meridians, we tap with our fingertips on points on the head, face, upper body and hands.  At the same time we verbalise the problem which importantly keeps us focused on the problem we are working on.  This has the effect of unblocking the energy system thereby releasing negative emotions connected with that problem.   This is a pain free, very simple process which usually gets astonishing results.  My clients are often completely amazed at how  a very strong emotion such as sadness or grief can just disappear in a matter of a minute or two.  And this may be something they were carrying around for years.  A typical response is "I can't feel it anymore" or "It's like watching a movie.  I don't feel connected to it anymore."  I love to see the life and sparkle come back into people's faces when they feel this freedom. 

EFT can be used to change unhelpful beliefs and to install new ones which will change your behaviour and life for the better.  There is so much information about The Law of Attraction these days.  The main ideas behind The Law of Attraction is that your thoughts (beliefs) and emotions create your reality and when you want to create something in your life, you must have the right beliefs in place.  Also, in order to attract anything good into your life, you must first believe you deserve it.  From my experience of working with clients, many people are carrying around a lot of guilt, sometimes for most of their life.  If you feel guilty you probably don't believe your deserve to have good things happen to you.  EFT can clear out these negative feelings, help you to install more positive beliefs, and help you to create the positive emotions of joy and gratitude which are so necessary for The Law of Attraction to work.
